Gaia Star Map 3d. ESA Cosmic scales covered by Gaia’s second data release Gaia Sky is a real-time, 3D, astronomy visualisation platform for desktop and VR that runs on Windows, Linux, Gaia will provide unprecedented positional and radial velocity measurements with the accuracies needed to produce a stereoscopic and kinematic census of about one billion stars in our Galaxy and throughout the Local Group.

Brighter regions represent denser concentrations of bright stars, while darker regions correspond to patches of the sky where fewer and fainter stars are observed. It shows the total brightness and colour of 1.8 billion stars observed by ESA's Gaia satellite and released as part of Gaia's Early Data Release 3 (Gaia EDR3) It is developed in the framework of ESA's Gaia mission by the Gaia group at the Astronomisches Rechen-Institut (Zentrum für Astronomie Heidelberg, University of Heidelberg, Germany).
ESA Gaia creates richest star map of our Galaxy and beyond. The catalog, titled Early Data Release 3 , contains ultra-precise coordinates for 1,811,709,771 stars between 3rd and 21st magnitude, with a precision of a few tens of micro-arcseconds; most of these also have brightness measurements. Gaia will provide unprecedented positional and radial velocity measurements with the accuracies needed to produce a stereoscopic and kinematic census of about one billion stars in our Galaxy and throughout the Local Group.
